Privacy Policy

Summary

This site does not ask you to register, has no user accounts, and does not collect your name, email address or payment details. The only thing we measure is anonymous visit statistics, to understand which content is useful.

Who is responsible

This site is run independently by a private individual. For anything relating to your data, the contact address is admin@fallingpickaxe.io.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage. Through this tool, aggregated and non-identifying data is collected:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Device type, operating system and browser
• Approximate country and region, inferred from IP address
• How you arrived at the site (search engine, social network, direct link)
• Browser language

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address or any financial data. We cannot identify you personally from this information.

Cookies

Google Analytics places cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. The main ones are `_ga` and `_ga_<identifier>`, with a default lifespan of around two years.

These are analytics cookies: they count visits, they do not serve you advertising.

Who it is shared with

Browsing data is processed on the infrastructure of Google LLC, acting as the analytics service provider. You can review how Google handles this information in its privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not sell or transfer data to third parties for commercial purposes.

Note that when you click a link to a gambling operator, you leave this site and enter the scope of that operator's privacy policy, over which we have no control.

How to opt out

You have several options, all outside our control and entirely your decision:

• Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Block third-party cookies in your browser settings
• Use a tracker-blocking extension
• Browse in private or incognito mode

None of these affect your ability to read the site's content.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics data is retained according to the tool's retention settings, up to a maximum of 14 months for user-level data. After that it is deleted automatically and only aggregated reports remain.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with equivalent legislation, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and to object to its processing.

Since we do not collect identifying data, the most effective step in practice is to use the blocking options described above. You can still write to admin@fallingpickaxe.io and we will respond.

Minors

This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from people of that age.

Changes to this policy

If we change the tools we use or how we handle data, we will update this page and the date in the header.
